Sometimes...

We Wear Our Hearts

By: Fee

Rich silk won’t absorb our teardrops

And black velvet leaves a stain

Leather’s very strong and stylish

Yet won’t protect us from love’s pain

We all came into this world naked

Bodies, souls and hearts were bare

It is only much later we begin to learn

Of hatred, anger and of tainted fear

In a mind woven tapestry I watch you

Dressed pure without the stain of hate

Flowing robes of honesty, a scarf of innocence

Unsullied by the twists and turns of fate

Oh sadly I still wear the callow mantle

Of one who heard the cannons bark

Who buried too many in the part

As I craved the call of the meadowlark

So press your sweet lips gently to mine

Your voice can soothe my weeping scars

In y our arms I’ll wear your nakedness

Snuggled forever ‘neath forgiving stars…

For a minute I thought I read Shakespeare, but of course he wouldn't use the word 'snuggle'. lol.
I enjoyed this one a lot, dear Fee. It proves that you are what you are: A hopeless romantic - just the way we love you!

Stunning view of thoughts they remind me of
Sermon that made so
much sense it was about the blind man who
thoughts ware very pure the innocent of a child
but once he recover his sight his mind and
Heart ware filled with sin!

Oh how sweet and reverent this piece is. Maybe if we could all remain as children at heart we adults could sure learn much from their untouched innocence....

Be always safe,
