For all the Magic Moments that we share on our pillows at night

Poem Artwork

Feather Pillow Cinema

By: Fee

I thought you spoke to me last night

Across the vast white space of time

I tried to hear the words you said

But the winds drowned out each line

I thought I saw the beauty of your smile

Then a haze swept away the longing past

Your eyes but briefly with mine touched

To raise a memory’s shadow fully cast

I thought our fingertips traced a lifetime

In dreamlike seconds so fleeting gone

Where passion’s ink wrote out our lines

A Shakespearean opera can done in song

I thought I saw us stitched in a tapestry

Hanging on the heaven’s billowed cloud

Where desire’s words need not be muted

Nay, they could be proclaimed aloud

I thought I saw it all last night

On a wet feathered pillowed night

Then I awoke to think of you

And with a smile I faced daylight…

I LOVE THIS!!!! It brings out the Guinevere in me, the rings on my fingers and bells on my toes, bit!!! But then, I live very close to Arthurian country, so not surprisin! :)) Such rich imagery, Pops, and although you speak of what is, perhaps, not, it has a very real sense of what is. This lives and breaths and smiles through the tears. Tender and wholly sincere, as are your very best works. You have a gift of making your feelings REALLY felt... xxx

Possibly dreams are like a band-aid for the soul with a wound, or maybe it is a soft light illuminating the path to the love one.
