To all the romantic dreamers out there...

Poem Artwork

I’ve Seen You

By: Felix L. Perry

I’ve seen you in a thousand daydreams

I’ve kissed your lips, stroked your breast

we made love in a tender fantasy all night

you fell asleep, your head, upon my chest

I’ve seen you in a thousand daydreams

walking along the shore beneath a moon

perhaps holding hands on a Ferris wheel

or laughing at the bells of Big Ben at noon

I’ve seen you in a thousand daydreams

sipping French wine beneath the Eiffel Tower

I dreamed of you and I in a field of daisies

even singing love songs in a summer shower

I’ve seen you in a thousand daydreams

did we dance naked in a maze of corn?

my rainbows all ended with you in my arms

I saw us cry the night our child was born

I’ve seen you in a thousand daydreams

Though none of them ever come true

When we are old and our hair turns gray

I’ll still have cherish these daydreams of you…

YES..this is soooo familiar..I hear ya Fee.. :)))))

I think many of us have these daydreams..I guess that somewhere on some level they are REAL!! ( I hope so )..it would be a shame for them to dissipate into thin air ..eh? )

Yep, you're back alright!!! Certainly can't tie a good man down - neither his heart nor imagination, thank God! :)) How adorable is this?? Guaranteed to put hairs on the chest of all us romantics, male and female alike... AND make them quiver with pure delight!... that's cos it makes me hum Aretha Franklin somehow: Help Me Make It Through the Night... or was that Eartha Kitt??!! Now me brain's completely gone... caught up in the whirlwind of this dizzy lovescape. So glad you are on the mend, Pops! And please don't tell us it's the meds :)) xxxx

Yeah... beautiful daydreams which are coming true for you if your loved one is beside you until you're both old and gray: happily ever now! Oh romance...
A dream rarity rather than actuality!
Biggest love to you Fee, now and always... so happy you're sounding brighter!!

Hey, Fee--have you been reading the Song of Solomon lately? Those love songs are purely explicit (yes, the two can go together.) Sometimes in our eros saturated society, it is easy to forget the beauty and joy of abandoning ourself to anther without shame or embarrassment. I just hope you married the lover of your dreams. (Why do we always assume our poems are about our personal experiences? Maybe because they often are!)

"I’ve kissed your lips, stroked your breast"...

In your dreams buckwheat, my breasts and kisses are saved for one person and they ain't for some old grey chubby Santa Clause portrayer...

Oh I see, you were speaking metaphorically, well, just keep your hands to yourself if we ever DO meet...;-) Ed

This is a beautiful and passionate penning. Reminds me of an event which happened 5 yrs. ago. I visited briefly with a fellow I dated when I was 16. Our brief fling ended suddenly when he had to move away. No closure. We are in our 50's now and going back seem possible at the time, but it was all too strange. Closure finally, and a good-bye forever. I don't wonder anymore. I thing it is the longing for all the possibilities which connects us with our lost love, and not the love itself. Very inspiring poem. Hugs, J'nia

Fee,

How sad to be in love all these years, and never having acted upon it for one reason or another. This must have been torture for all those years. Very passionate and well written.
