Making love to me should be like good poetry soft and gentle, perhaps forceful and driving some imagination thrown in, a great ending that descends into a sated warm lingering embrace...

The Sated Bard

In the dark of night, without foresight, with full moon at it’s peak

Looking down on you, what could I do, I lost my words to speak

Like spiralled prose, desire rose, fingers rhyme on their own

Explored desire, fanning passion’s fire, flames we’d never known

Arms reached out, a whispered shout, ‘tis a poet’s favourite time

Tongue to tongue, the night was young, lips projecting every line

This two-headed beast, began to feast, my quill in your ink well

Burst a climatic Ku, a/muse/d to view, our inspired lover’s spell

Then sated bard, played his one card, to his poetess of star-light

Two as one embrace, leather and lace, our sonnet in the night…
