Chapter Too

 

He blinked and brushed away joy’s teardrops

Tender the words said and still to be said

Delicate she felt in his arms like fragile flowers

Their kisses the saga’s exclamation marks

 

Stars and moon attested to this true -life story

The nighttime became their time in the sun

Her smiles on pages became Cupid’s illustrations

Passionately read each and every verse and line

 

When she slept his breath caressed her cheek

Protective he guarded her in her midnight dreams

Until she awoke with his heart in her tomorrows

The next and final chapter written out in love…

Hello Fee, this is so beautiful, filled with tenderness and love. I cant help but feel very real in each verse everytime i hold my grandson in my arms and hum his favorite lullaby. Thank you for sharing and it's good to be back and read all of you again.
