Morning Sexy
a stray whisp of a breeze stirs cotton
curtains thinned from too many washes
rumpled sheets with dried reminders
of last nights passionate desires
under grandma’s scarlet bedspread
in the old cottage by the lake
she awoke to exploring fingertips
his lips on her salty sweat dried skin
they’d made love as the sun brought morning
bodies intertwining over and over again
sated her voice sings with the dancing beads
of icy cold water from the showerhead
Blue Jays join her chorus now and then
the smell of ground coffee brewing
maple bacon on the old wood stove
her song ends as she stills the water
daybreak in their lover’s hideaway…

"Morning Sexy"?
and the echos of waves & birds
