Blank Pages
its dog eared, ragged and torn
read and reread time after time
pages filled but not written
unspoken verses in rhyme
each chapter a memory captured
stored parchment faded and old
a diary of dreams and wishes
someday he hopes will be told
sometimes wind moans outside
like the sobs of a heart broke in two
so he fills in another blank page
with a new memory or two
he closes the book for the night
but first he kisses his fingertips
blow the kiss to drift on the wind
hoping it will find his true love's lips
God bless you, Kathy
S
someday he hopes will be told
Something we all truly hope for.
