Beach Party for Two

Amid periwinkles and white clamshells
Red crabs skitter-scatter on the shore
Orange, blues and greens of Angel tears
Little scattered treasures by the score

Barefoot lovers strolling hand in hand
You and I dance across love’s stage
Frothy waves roll in to tickle our toes
As our true story turns another page

Another page of tender dancing words,
I take the lead, you give me your hand
Shifting dunes will be our bedroom walls
As we make love on sun-warmed sand

When the moon comes out to greet our eyes
We’ll count our many blessings one by one
Share gratitude with the keeper of the stars
Day is done but our future just begun…
