~Tears of Sorrow~

during my grief
the sounds of children
playing outside...

~~~
into the blinding sun
the funeral processions
glaring headlights...
~~~

outrun the sorrow
in the arms of friends
wrapped in love...

~~~
feeling so cold inside
only acceptance
brings warmth...
~~~

eternal sunshine
on your bed of flowers
rest easy my love...

~~~
fragile egos
shatter
for the sadness...
~~~

when I am sad
flowers bloom
even then...

~~~
at my son's grave
someone
has left flowers...
```

summer burial
a stone angel points her finger
at the blue sky...

~~~
at the open grave
mingling with a preachers prayer
the sounds of sorrow...
~~~

his tombstone's shadow
reaching across
to touch hers...

~~~
never ending
this dancing with sorrow
and still he leads...
Your haiku leaves absolutely nothing to be desired, Carole!!! They are whole and complete, and take one into their own mind.
Peace.
Carole This collection of Haikus
sadden my heart
This is so sad, but beautiful and comforting at the same time. I am so sorry for your loss of your son. This is an eloquent and profoundly moving tribute to his memory.
Overwhelming but the flow of beauty throughout completes the story with love and grace.Having lost a son, I deeply relate to this.
