~ One Moment ~

Summer winds whisper softly
a full moon glowing bright
Carried in on the breeze, soft music
love is in the air tonight

Under a blanket of moonlight
floating upon waves of sensual delights
not letting go till morning's glow
of dawn's first light

Left with soft dreams of passion
their warmth embracing my soul
Alone I am less than I can be
with you I was whole

My moment has now passed
that one special moment in time
when I was chosen to have it all
fate granted me a sign

When the stars were in alignment
and destiny was outside my door
I rushed to embrace my chance
the love I'd been waiting for

Our life together was shortened
slowing down for us to find
a passion that defied barriers
one that crossed all time lines

I couldn't change events that day
time stopped for me, leaving lonely years
My heart keeps beating, my soul is bruised
my eyes overflow with tears

I still look for you each day
and nights I look beyond the stars
whispering into the darkness
I want to be where you are
