Quite insightful for a New Year's Eve celebration. And I note there's a certain honesty about it since it was posted on December 31.

From the depth of understanding involved, I'm thinking you were straight-and-narrow that night. Well, perhaps a glass of wine.

Your haikus are fabulous. Visiting your den site is always uniquely entertaining and maturing.

Happy New Year to you Carole. I love the line "before a midnight canvas"...That is so captivating of a line, that it brings me to think about the coming year. It is a blank canvas, we have an open pallet to design the way we want our life to be. I shall use vibrant colors and splashes of purple (my passionate side) to fill my world in 2010.
