It begins with a thought nudging a stray emotion unexplainable but very immediate it flows through you exploding with need you try to capture and hold it willing it to bloom but it eludes your efforts as it teases and taunts trying to entice and draw you in finally you succumb giving power to the words completing the feelings that surround and give voice to the thought does it end now, did you succeed judgment lies within the readers mind
Excellent poetry. The voice in the head. The utterings of the mind, how they replicate themselves, again and again, then take hold of your emotions. Do we then act? Or, do we take contrary action? Do we even have self-will? Or are we merely reacting to unconscious, capricious inspirations bubbling up from deep within the maw of psychic and spiritual darkness? Much to ponder here.

But after we find our feeling, then we have to figure out the best way to capture in words whatever it is that so excites us. And where does that bring us? You guessed it. Right back to "The Chase."

A very thoughtful piece of writing...and we are always at the mercy of our readers, no matter what our intentions... also as has been commented, the surprise sometimes with what our words have brought forth..but this is all part of the field we are in..

Somehow, Carole, somehow I releate the words to this wonderful writing of yours as things and thoughts that have, as you know, been going through my head. Not a whole lot of words here, but very well stated and, for me, thought provoking.
