the world can change
turn upside down for good or bad
But you remain standing
tho dizzy from the spin

In ten days
your world can collapse
But the brain
has a self-balancing mechanism
catches on the core
of solid earth within
and your feet land safely

In ten days
you can start anew
take what's left
of the broken peices
transmute them into new dreams

In ten days
you can discard the extraneous
bits of sodden fluff
floating flotsum on the surface
swim in deep waters
and come up for fresh air...
alive!
