The Madman's Song

Today, the madman wails
He recalls goodies of old
He recalls hopes of yesteryears,
When life was comfortable
When thuggery was old fashioned
When robbery was a taboo.

He recalls
our pride
our unity
our togetherness

He remembers
our love
our joy
our hope

He wails about
our misplaced priorities
our squandered wealth
our twarther hopes...
