Only Yesterday

It started a moment ago,
now it has towered
above our little imagination
almost touching the mambila plateau

It started only yesterday
now it has blossomed
glistening like embers of sunshine,
a raging fire on a mountain

It started only but yesterday
now our love swells with passion
like the tossing waves

May no one dim this glowing love
may no one put asunder
this endless love
may it thrive against murky whispers
