The Phoenix of the Ancients
Kept guard from the silver bough
It gazed at the horizon,
Through a thousand quiet hours
Alone in the mystical garden
Perched on the silver bough.
The Phoenix sang a mournful song
Its voice as clear as bells
Its friends were in the long ago
Leaving it as sentinel
Sounding out its mournful song
Its voice as clear as bells
The Phoenix in the evening
Watched from the crystal tree
It sang a prayer of longing
"Send somebody like me!
Someone new to guard the world!"
It prayed on the crystal tree.
"If someone hears my great request
Please send a single star
To show the birth of One who is
A guardian from afar
Bright as love and glorious
Please send a guiding star."
The Phoenix in the garden
Lonely as it prayed
It gazed at the horizon,
And an answer was displayed
A single guiding glorious star
That spoke Eternity
The Phoenix sprang from the crystal bough
And now it's flying free.

Touching and marvellous! Merry Christmas.
Bill Murray
These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
