I went skinny dipping
In a quiet place
With my pretty daughter
We had a day of grace
A day to spend together
A time so seldom found
She's in the north, and I am south
In this wide land of ours.

The place we found for swimming
Was hidden in the rocks
(We hoped to save the tourists
From a naked culture shock.)
Yet what you see on telly
Is surely just as much
As a bit of 45-year-old
Sans shoulder straps and such.

We heard some people coming
And meekly covered up
(We didn't want to bother folk
Who might have seen too much)
And down the rocks a couple
From Northern hemi-climes
Came down to try the water out
(We'd cossie'd up in time...)

The bloke, he kept his togs on
The gal stripped out of hers
My daughter choked on giggles
When a camera was observed
The lass was generously curved
And happy as might be
"She's comfy with her body",
My daughter said to me.

The other girl was smiling
As she wished us pleasant days
She wanted pictures taken
Of her Aussie holiday
My daughter clicked the shutter
And gave the camera back
The couple beamed in Finnish
And gathered up their packs.

They wandered off to other pools
And left us to our swim
The peaceful brilliance of their time
Be kind to her and him!
Back to skinny dipping
And a sun-soaked afternoon
May such another perfect day
Be waiting for us, soon!
