A tulip’s soft whisper And the shiver of a cool spring rain You lay in a field Collecting dew and raindrops With your fingers, clawlike Digging into the earth Trying to root yourself Your head is flowing with stardust And your eyes, black Are drops of crude oil What have you done to become This drowned creature Pale and Blue Hair like seaweed While the rain Dissolves your body.

this is very interesting, as brian said, the imagery for sure but the entire poem gives a haunting feeling
