My Very Own Valentine

In the circle of life

we ponder our thoughts

of everyday things to do.

We work at different things

to make a living, so that

we might buy things we like.

Like theater tickets for the opera

or maybe a dress for dining

a pair of shoes for dancing.

We might even buy a thing or two

for that special friend

who doted on us.

So in the circle of life

I found my special friend

my significant other.

With her we will be the ones

who laugh, dine, and dance,

across the ballroom floor of love.

She is my angel, my lover, my life

the one who made me her wife

and shared many a secret.

She is the one who completes

for me, the circle of life,

my very own Valentine.
