They asked me to write a poem for Joshua's funeral. It was one of the hardest things I ever did. He was a
part of my heart and when he died,
my grief knew no limits, yet I could not wish him back because he suffered so much...
He was just a wee babe,when
God came, took his hand
and said," Come with me,
Your spirt is needed in
heaven this day," ,so on
silver wings, his small soul
slipped away.
Parents, do not weep for
your wee babe. He is in heaven
forever to stay. He is one of
stars that twinkle at night, and
his heart is blessed by Gods
heavenly light.
I've had to do that MaryGrace...write about someone that my heart was grieving so terribly for and read it at their funeral. One of the hardest tasks we writers face...and one of the most appreciated. May God continue to bless you and yours in this time of sorrow. Michelle

What a beautiful tribute and sentiment for anyone who has suffered such a loss. My heart goes out to you and yours. It's the true job of a poet to reach into ourselves and write at such a time. Out of the grief comes beauty. Keep writing.
