My mother passed away on Dec 17, 2002 at the age of 93. It was a difficult time for our family. I wrote this poem to help eleviate my sorrow.
I never realized the pain
of loosing you would be so
great.
The sunshine is not as
bright, songs of birds not
as sweet.
I go through the motions
of daily life with a heavy
heart, trying to hide disparity,
so others will not realize my
sorrow.
My facade is a success. Life
goes on, as do I.
Time lessens the turmoil, time
lessens the pain and time is the
healer of broken hearts.
Such a beautiful tribute this is. Your words are soft, warm and very heartfelt...genuine. My mother is my best friend, she too is growing old. I try not to think about it, but enjoy the days that we have. Live for now as she would want you to, and wait and look forward for the day when you can reunite with her, this time for eternity.
Blessings,
Joyce Bowling

Beautiful tribute and one day beyond the bend you will catchup where the birds songs once again become stronger and the morning light brighter for in her embrace once more you can rest...............Thank you for this heartfelt and beautiful tribute for your mother and your loss...
MaryGrace, my Mom died in 2002, and I till miss her. I understand your words to the depth of my heart. I believe we never get over missing them, we merely learn to live with it. I don't try to hide my sorrow when it descends on me. I go somewhere and cry my heart out. (:D {{{{MaryGrace}}}} Beautiful words.
Time does lessen the pain, but I think no matter how much time goes by, we always continue to miss those we loved. My father died six years ago, and I still think about him just about every day.
Love and peace to you,
Regis
