I wrote this poem many years ago for a lady named Dagmar. She was suffering from terminal cancer, and had been admitted to the nursing home where I worked. She knew she was dying, yet she greeted each day with a smile and optimisim. She was a truly inspiring person!
I see beauty in your smile,
and feel warmth in what you say.
You face each day bravely as
time goes on its way.
As we talk I find inner peace,
filled with gentleness hard to
find that comes from within your
heart and soothes the weary mind.
Without knowing it,you've
given so very much, to those who
have come to know you, and the
ones your courage has touched.
I pray that God will keep you
in his tender care, and give you
strength to face the day, when your
soul journeys to heaven, forever
more to stay.
Beautiful tribute! I see a wonderful friendship blooming! Enjoyed!!!!!

They become dutches do they not Dear MaryGrace. The love and faith they allow into others lives is truly missed once they are finaly blessed and put to rest. I have been touched so deeply in the nursing home field.

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
If you tend to believe romantic, passionate, masculine poetry is a thing of past eras, read "She Intrigues Me," and be swept away in the beautiful craft of a contemporary poet of love.
