A poem about confession -- many of our services of worship eliminate this important part.
Confess Sinful thoughts, ugly musing, Finding freedom, freedom finding Escape it's grip, run and flee Temptations coming, free will failing I can fight it on my own, Fighting my own I lose, Power comes, when power claimed, Holy Spirit pricks, and Holy Sprit wins. Confess my sins, release power Hide my sins, reap disaster Oh Holy God who cleanses, Oh cleansing God who’s Holy I confess to you, I run and claim Forgiveness, and hope, no more the same, Help me not hide, hide me not help For only through You can sin be chained.

Danny, I can't believe I've never read your writings before. This is a fantastic poem! I love the way you reverse the words to bring even greater meaning. It's a powerful exposition in simple wording.
