You go to a restaurant and order something you think you'll recognize only to find it transformed "for your enjoyment and fine dining experience."
Where Have All The Veggies Gone? Used to love them every one Long time ago When will they ever learn? Veggies and their natural taste Are still around, as long as you Buy and cook them yourself I’m no vegetarian Yet enjoy Brussel sprouts Or broccoli with a little salt Go to restaurant and they’ve Seasoned, sautéed and snockered Naturalness out of existence The comforting taste of fresh Is enhanced, layered and drowned In favor of a dining “experience” Diners’ choice left a while ago When cooks became chefs And food gave way to inventions Eatery air may be next Imagine pine or new mown Combined with eau de barn And perhaps essence de tar Replacing passe oxygen Enjoy hip odor with your order! But I’ve vegetated and fulminaated To no particular avail And now I’m late for the market! Charles B. Neff October 21, 2016

Not to mention tasteless, months old genetically modified for color and machine pick-able stuff that you get in a grocery store. Nice rant� Now eat.

I can't complain even though I did have simple fare in the past when I cooked. My partner has introduced me to vegetables and vegetable dishes that are simply luscious and a treat to eat--I'm stuffed just thinking about it.

Being mainly a plant food eater, veggies are a vital part of my diet...and like you I enjoy them untampered with...Roasted in the oven with a little spray oil brings out their ultimate sweetness....
I'm glad you've raised this issue...lets get back to veggies being veggies...!

Go to a "Ma and Pa's" joint for some real food including veggies. I leave the "Foo Foo" places alone. Having been a Watron, I've worked upscale and "regular" restaurants. Give me "Grama's" restaurant any time!!
