Little Ruedy Preaches Jesus

Times were tough and times were hard
And little Ruedy could not find a job
Her education and her degree
Did little good in getting
Ruedy food to eat.
It was on Tuesday morning
Again, she hit the city streets
In hopes of finding work that would
Pay enough to make ends meet.
Full of disappointment
A thought passed through her head
She went back to her apartment
To the corner by her bed.
Gently she picked it up
Her second-hand Washburn guitar
Hesitantly, she began again
Two blocks to the closest bar
Where little Ruedy entered in
The dark, red-lit room
And asked the owner there,
To give her an interview.
The applause was over-whelming
From the customers that heard
Little Ruedy strummed her best
And sang like angels from above.
Start Friday night, the owner said,
With the highest pay that we can give.

Wednesday night found Ruedy
As a favor to a friend
Sitting on the church pew, in a church she’d never been.
Something unexplainable happened to her then
The Ruedy that left the church that night
Was not the same Ruedy that had entered in.
The new Ruedy knew she could never
No matter what the salary be
Ever set foot inside that bar
To earn her living in that company.

Fifteen miles from Clayton
On a curve called Devil’s Bend
Little Ruedy preaches Jesus
Underneath a road side tent.
Many come from miles around
To hear the gospel of His Word.
And to hear the anointed Ruedy
Sing more beautiful than they’ve ever heard.
They come and get their healings
They get delivered too.
Many miracles are performed
As Ruedy preaches Jesus
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights,
Underneath the road side tent.

So Lovely, Leah. God through His son Jesus doesn't care where we pray, just so we do. Wonderful story poem of Little Ruedy.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie
