SANDS OF TIME

When I was just a little girl, I was always more amused by the idea of God then scared. In fact I always thought that we could make very good playmates as he did all the things that I always wanted to do.
Then when I grew up, I was a little apprehensive about my prior idea because playmate or no playmate...he was always there watching and that gave me an eerie feeling. Till today I am struggling to understand why do all the good things in life have to come and then go away, making their absence felt even more...specially people.
Sometimes someone comes in your life to help you face a tough time or meet a need that you may or may not have expressed and assist you through a difficult phase. God sends them because you need them then and then they walk away. Our need has been met, our desire fulfilled and their work done. The prayer you sent up has been answered, and now it is time to move on.
Some come into your life to help you grow, learn or share, you tell them things that you don’t usually tell just because you have the gut sentiment that you can trust them. You end up doing along with them things, that you always wanted to try and get away with. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy, thrill and adventure and fill up the empty hole within your heart. They hug you securely to let you know that they are there and then when they sense that they need not hold you any longer they gradually let you loose to watch you walk on in life.
Some people fill your life as if they had always been there and will remain so; and teach you lifetime lessons to help you climb the grapevine of relationships and choose the right paths. Each of these individuals are a part of you. Each of them has their own very special place in your heart and for a portion of your experiences; your emotions and decisions belong to them and vise versa.
So go on and tell all these people what they mean to you before they drift out of your life, that way they will carry away with them a memorable part of you...your love.

“So many various faces,
So many different eyes,
The special expressions they carry,
The depth in their eyes;
A lot of cheerful words
And so many dreaded sighs,
There were glad hellos
But mostly heartrending goodbyes
Too many cherished people
In too less a span of time,
Have come and now gone,
From the prism of life,
Taking away with themselves
The true blend of colors,
And leaving behind
A cold white glare,
Where and why they went
I don’t really know,
But I know all too well
That they did come along,
And then left very quietly;
Just leaving behind
Their embe dded footprints,
In the sands of time.”

"I remain a cameleer... moving swiftly through the shifting sands of time... seeking direction from the winds of change... and moving towards that oasis, always on the horizon."

Ur poem reminds me of the above i wrote in o'levs while describing myself... Sometimes u remind me of what i felt about life back then. Now everything is too practical... for me there are no footprints in the sand... and if someone comes into my life only to leave a void and a "cold white glare" then they werent worth being part of my life anyways!

People are more important, if they mean someting to you never let go... hold onto THEM instead of their footprints and their memories.

Moral of the story : I am worth holding onto for the rest of ur life ! ;)

Omega Factor by John Henning

Take some time to walk outside of your own mind and into another, walk slowly and carefully; the mind that you step on might be your own.
