I walked through the forest and I hugged the trees,
realizing my wisdom is a child of three.

I though I was connected with the beauty of nature,
learning scientific names, and the nomenclature.

I would soak in their energy, making me high,
holding it with greed, and no answers to why.

I started to talk, and asked them a question,
and next what I got, wasn't a verbal reaction.

Instead they filled me with love, and an understanding,
that I am free, and still missing the meaning.

They dropped me a leaf, I caught in my hand,
I said "I think I'm beginning to understand".

You don't tell me lies, so please help me listen,
to the Wisdom of Trees, and their truth that glistens.
