It is now irrevocable to take back
The times I lost yesterday
Helpless am I to fight the inevitable
I cannot even decide which way.
And I cannot stop the surging flow of fate
Like the fiery torment of the monstrous
wave,
I can only hope and perhaps offer a prayer
To ease the pain of going.
That I could safely find the light along
the path
Away from the stars that may collide
And bring more gains rather than pains
That would erase partially the ironies of
life.
Alone I trod, alone I die
I keep my heartaches solely to my heart
Hide the tears that make the living sad
For only I, shall face the Judge.
A further collection of poems, many from years in the Middle East, but also the California San Francisco and Central Coast areas (Santa Cruz, Carmel, Big Sur, Berkeley, etc.).
