According to the Bible (NIV) Songs of Solomon is a poetic wedding song that honors marriage. This part of the book is about a simple maiden and Solomon (the king). Here a peasant woman who Solomon falls in love with describes herself. She explains her embarrassment of becoming tan from working in the vineyards. The setting is Israel and its purpose is to describe the love between the two of them and Gods love for all.

The Romantic, Sexy Bible (Part 11)

The following words from Songs of Solomon, tells about a simple maiden who is has dark tanned skinned and is very insecure.

It also tells about her beauty and how her love for the king grows more and more.

Friends

We rejoice and delight in you[b];
we will praise your love more than wine.

Beloved (she)

How right they are to adore you!

5 Dark am I, yet lovely,
daughters of Jerusalem,
dark like the tents of Kedar,
like the tent curtains of Solomon.[
c]
6 Do not stare at me because I am dark,
because I am darkened by the sun.
My mother’s sons were angry with me
and made me take care of the vineyards;
my own vineyard I had to neglect.

7 Tell me, you whom I love,
where you graze your flock
and where you rest your sheep at midday.
Why should I be like a veiled woman
beside the flocks of your friends?

Will the king be happy with this tan skinned maiden?

Can this romance continue to be a match made in heaven?

(To be continued)

back in those Biblical times it was sinful to desire someone from another culture, and as you know, King Solomon loved the ladies. His lusting for women & sensual pleasures were forbidden, but he spilled the wine anyway. Wife after wife after wife. The beauty of his heart is what the Lord looks at though, and it's a beautiful love inside his heart.

There is still to much judgment going on by people, failing
to look into people's hearts & failing to see their own imperfections.
