My Heart Cries Out

When a loved one dies at an early age it leaves a hole in your heart. My first wife departed earth when she was just 37. It's over 25 years ago and I still experience an empty feeling that still lingers on. So when my wife today departs on a trip I can't help but think that we truly never know when it will be our last day...

My first wife passed away a long time ago at this time today

But the memory of being left behind never seems to go away

My heart still has a hole from the memory that I cannot hide

It’s a void that stays with me deep down inside

 

So when my love leaves our home, even for a day

I have a sad memory that will not fade away

It’s a void that cannot be denied

It’s a void that is in my heart deep down inside

 

I cannot begin to describe how torn apart it can feel

To have a wife depart earth with a love that’s so real

For I would do anything for the love of my life

I will go to the ends of the earth for my loving wife

 

Amen!

I too, feel your void. My mother passed away this November 11, 2007 and leading up to this date reminds me of the void in my life. Thank you for sharing this.

There is nothing more heart rending than to lose someone you love more than anything. I thank God he loved us so much he made a way to see our loved ones again. What an awesome thing he did when he created a master plan so beautiful!
