BCC: Yeah, you.

Connor’s weeping because you’re leaving;
Tim is wailing because you’ve left.
And Gary Lightbody – the boy from Snow Patrol
Screams of my undying love – he leaves me deaf.

The Flaming Lips are mouthing words
I never thought I’d say again,
When Ben Gibbard comes beating through
With that certain way he makes amends.

And all I’m left with are these magic men –
The music men that keep you in my head;
They know I cry, they just don’t care
No matter how many of their words I dread.

They sing aloud and slice me
Into itsy-bitsy, tiny, pathetic, little bits;
They force me back through the memories
Of all my misses and random hits.

**When I said I loved you,
It was because I loved you.
When I said I needed you,
Well, I really need you.
Yeah, I guess you hurt me…
For once you’re a man of your word.**

I can’t be your prisoner, oh no…
I’m moving on, getting rid of you –
I’ll do what it takes, even if means
These magic men move on to serenading you.

And we never speak, but that doesn’t mean
That I don’t remember your whispered lies,
It just means that the magic men
Keep me from forgetting your bittersweet goodbyes.

But I’m kicking you out of my mind
Yeah, I’m kicking you out of my tired, weary heart…
And through the endless words and drowning tunes…
The magic men will do their best to keep our lives apart.

I love the symetry of this as a writer/poet but also love it as a songwriter, these would make fantastic song lyrics. Thank you for sharing your talent Mia.
