the silence thickens. it surrounds me, and all i can think is how i need to escape it. but no matter how much i push or how much i try, the struggle wraps itself around me and straight through me. it whispers its curse into my heart. it smells my fear and it mocks me. yes, it mocks me. i'll. just. play. dead.

"the struggle wraps itself around me" how well I know this feeling but have never been able to find the words as you have to capture the feeling, well done Mia.
