Sometimes I feel so good I just want to burst into laughter

and maybe jump on a trampoline.

I want to eat watermelon

and sit in our old backyard and admire the sky,

watch the wind wrestle the trees,

listen to the incessant laughter of a

three-year-old Kurtis as you tickle him in the house.

Sometimes I feel so good I want to go back to the days when

I had faith in mankind.

I want to dream and sing and write and bleed...

bleed the way everyone else does

instead of sitting back, playing it safe,

witnessing the world move on without me.

But other times, when I'm lost and alone,

all I want to do is sleep...

sleep to not feel the pain. I just want to

not feel the pain.

I am lost and alone.

I am lost and no one is looking for me.

Happy Anniversary.

Go for the watermelon... you can be depressed later.

Cute poem.

Mia, this is such an excellent poem as you meet the reader where he/she is and draw them in to your joy of wanting to live full and free again and back to the need to withdraw or escape and, finally, into that all-powerful line, "I am lost and no one is looking for me." Wow. Don't know you well, but I want to echo what Felix has said below. Dawn

I hope you find your way in the confusion and work back to the light you have too much talent and beauty to be lost for long.

Great write and I ache for you with each line.

Felix
