My poetry has gone

And I want to tell them

That they’re wrong

It’s always been here

Just asleep

I still laugh

And I still weep

Only I forget to

Jot down the thoughts

That ostensibly rot

The very core of she

You still see

The phenomenal woman

That is me

But without the

Words I give to you

You can’t see the

Naked truth

That I hide behind

This wicked smile

These harmless eyes…

I’m versatile

Put yourself in

These classy shoes

And you will feel

The Mia Blues

That isn’t shared with

Everyone

Only some

That really care

That really dare

To even read this stuff

But when they’ve

Had enough

They will abandon

All true hope

And find me hanging

From a rope

But don’t you fret

And don’t forget
