I wrote this on a whim - just popped into my head -There's some humor in it and , I think, some truth. You go figure. ha ha

The Wild Boar

All you who are aged
beware the wild boar

You who have been
to long on the earth

He wishes to devour
He will be at your door

This big fat pig
can no longer dig

He is hungery and
looking for someone to eat

Find a hiding place
before it's too late

Action is needed now
You decide how

The answer is:  Choose whom you want to serve--The time is running out and the boar is at the door--awaiting-- a decision

The lambs in the picture represent the ignornance of human beings about the dangers of the satan which is waiting for them at the doorstep; You alert them to serve God before the satan eats them up. Well written poem

On the lighter side, I would say the wild boar is pretty stupid.
When my food gets to old, I throw it out. I don't want ecoli. LOL
God Bless,
Lew

Now I'm really worried, Marguerite; and it's like Dante's Inferno outside. I better stay inside - and hide!

I found this interesting especially in conjection with the lambs as a picture preceding the write. I notice too your clues to age, aging and being old and if I were to hazard a guess I would consider the boar to be the gov't so willing to sacrifice it's seniors everytime they need tax cuts. Interesting to see how others will perceive this though Little Flower.

I wwould like some input - What do you read between the lines - What is the poet trying to say?
