By the Grace of God we want to rebuild Kabul, but we can't afford to rebuild New Orleans, or efficient equip our Veteran's Hospitals.
Billions and billions for war, but nothing to a decent Health Care for everyone.
By the Grace of God...
BY THE GRACE OF GOD...
...we were born free on a free land,
but some were born from slaves
watering the cotton flowers with
pain, sweat and many tears
in the Land of the Free.
...we took a land that weren't ours,
it belonged to Sioux and Navahos,
Comanche, Cheyenne and Cherokee,
proud Americans all of them living
in the Land of the Free.
...we have build thousands of prisons to
incarcerate guilty ones, but innocents too
all depending on the color of their skin,
we became a bunch of fast-drawing guns
in the Land of the Free.
...we wrote the Declaration of Independence
taking account the Right of every man,
"give me your poor, your tired" and your sick
that will die if they cannot afford Medicare,
in the Land of the Free.
...we got hospitals ready to take the wounded
soldiers that we send to battle promising of
treating Veterans like they were human beings,
but sorry, we have money just for a few more bullets,
in the Land of the Free.
...we gave many sons in over 200 years
fighting for Right and Freedom
and over all for other's Liberty,
but, when we will stop unneeded taking
more sons from more suffering mothers
in the Land of the Free?

In the land of the free it states, "Life, Liberty and the Persuit of Happiness", there were never any guarantees or entitlements. Neither fair, nor equal ever entered into the equasion. All of our military community deserve the very best because they are putting their lives on the line for all of us, everything else is secondary. Did enjoy reading this write!

I sadly concur with you, Georg. And we are fast-drawing big spenders, too, but we never seem to spend the money on the right things. Caring for our soldiers and veterans is definitely one of them.
Far too often, we cheer them on to war, and then quickly forget them when they return.
We have many problems in this Country of ours yet many people still want to live here and die for that privilege.

It is a fine balancing act. For example we wanted to build and better England, but Mr Hitler wanted England, If we had turned a blind eye to his antics, none of us would be here, of if so it would be under a very dark cloud. To this day every free peson is indebted to Churchill, and the bravest, most humane nation on the planet..
... when our freedom is not threatened, dear Georg. There are those who hate America and all she stands for and they wish us dead. I have a son-in-law, a Marine, leaving soon for Iraq. He's going there to fight for democracy, the freedoms we enjoy, the principles we stand for. My heart won't allow me to damn what he is doing for me, for all of us.
