Years falling down from your life tree, you look down and there they are, now and then whirling with one last turn, all showing a myriad of tiny ice diamonds...Winter are coming to your years.

Poem Artwork

From the one that long long time ago
entered the last season of his life…
winter is not to be feared by you
if your autumns years wasn’t bad,
if you beat solitude and surrounded
yourself with little feet running by,
grandchildren, seeds of family might,
enjoy your autumn, enjoy it now,
defeat solitude, forgive the wrongs,
winter will put wrinkles of smiles.

Rocking chair on the wooden porch,
all the trees in red soon to be white,
passing bird will be telling each other
that to go flying south, this is the time,
and without coming to beg for a nut
that cheeky little squirrel will hurry by;
seems that everybody in Mother Nature
knows that father winter will cool the sun
and are leaving, like pieces of landscape
on a huge jigsaw that’s broken down.

Look at your face in that lake waters
soon to be covered with the hardest ice
that will welcome skating little children
but not left without a mate, a swan;
the reflection of your face so will tell
that it’s gone the summer of your life
to be replace by paling of your colors,
Autumn’s season kingdom are nice
if you didn’t like the lonely grasshopper
that thought, to have a family isn’t wise.

From the last days of my calendar I look
that long ago, with regrets, January back,
what I could had done better and didn’t,
and in feuds all that wasted precious time;
suddenly he was there, in front of me,
the winter with shortening days but one,
when withered flowers saying goodbye
will not promise to see me at springtime
because I will be no more there, greeting
the cheeky squirrel or the new flowers.

Enjoy your Autumn now, because soon
your Winter years will claim its time

Don't let those days go by without stopping to watch an ant, or an uncle for that matter.
Take care Brother, and welcome home.
