Like your mother, she is only one too, after she's gone you will standing on nothing, just on an eternal "why" without a flickering weak answer.

Poem Artwork

From a molten fire in the sky
she was round when she was born
many a man thought it was flat
but she proved that man was wrong.

When the solar birth rage subsided
it was time to cool it all around,
so a god wind was needed to clean
her air from the chocking smoke.

With wind came the refreshing rain
to all the ashes from her face wash,
water giving life running wild
will become Earth’s another god.

As she became older the seas parted
and dry god land so proudly came up,
to be filled with trees, and meadows
to feed the first hungry coming around.

God river make itself waters deep
holding creatures that swim no drown,
and eagles flying to feed on fishes,
deer, crocs, and mamma bear with cubs.

Mountain god collected winter snows
to calm the thirst from Spring to Fall,
man wasn’t around spoiling yet,
Mother Earth pristine galas she wore.

Then came the destructive monster,
the one destroying one by one her gods,
until the eagles had no more fishes
and the fire of life whiter and went cold.

Land god was covered by black asphalt,
River god so polluted running no more,
Mountain god so angry that went volcano
and destruction came out of its womb.

Where she had wheat, and rice, and trees,
all is covered with marching military boots,
as madman’s are reaping from all miseries
that they were so happy to spread and sow.

Mother Earth’s is dying by the hand of man,
nobody dared that criminal hand to stop,
no one is defending his suffering mother…
she didn’t deserved to have that kind of sons.

Great thoughts throughout each verse. Yes, we must recycle and take time to clean up our Earth. Even a piece of paper thrown out car window or on the ground clouds up our earth. MOre people should read this and be more appreciative of the earth they live on. It is not going to last forever.

Even a small child could understand the havoc that humanity is wrecking upon our earth after reading this beautiful poem.

God bless you. Kathy

Great write Georg
We (Mankind) were set upon this Earth
for its distruction
Let it be written and it shall be done
Sad to say so true
Peace be with you

We all only have one mother,
and after she's gone,
nobody really cares anymore.

We should praise and dance to mother nature as the Indians did,,,
but we seem to have lost respect...

Just think, Dear Georg, humans were placed here to tend and nurture the garden. Oh, how we have sadly failed our purpose.

Love & Light always and in all ways,

George, you should receive a most honoured place in her womb for your residuals, we need far many more to defend her, your beautiful poem left nothing out, it should be mandatory reading from grade one on, and like Ed said her other children that can't read and are supposed to be dumb animals honour with with respect, never destroy a thing, I wonder, but then of course I always have. In our times, hopefully not to late, this is a most meaningful tribute and fine poem. Bless You! Jasmin Horst

P.S. And if she gets realy pissed of, we'll have the mother of all of destruction on our hands, too bad that the innocent critters have to suffer our sins.

Mother truly deserved much more loving and respectful human sons and daughters. Her animal children seem to respect and revere her far more than we humans do.

Powerfully penned, Georg, but is it too late? I fear for Mother Earth...well done.

George, this is simply powerful and deeply touching. I have once wrote a poem made of similar thread in which I appealed all mankind to show mercy to Mother Earth. Exceptional piece and a stirring wake up call.

Chillingly told; yet very important; we must heed the warning calls and respond before there's total distruction. God is getting awfully hacked off at what is going on in our world today! And if HE gets mad, Lord help us all! Nooo, NOT a good thing when God is mad! NOT good AT all!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in America, Karen Lynn in Texas. :(

Georg you painted an all too frigtening but real picture of the fall of the Garden of Eden and the commencement of Armagedden. I hope that someday humans will wise up but I fear that may never happen.
Good job.

Karma Bank to Following By Listening by Chiemi

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
