If we could bottle up the innocent nature of a child, we could feed it back to them as a teenage antidote...and a Carter's liver pill for the adults...Everytime the "Furry Bear" commercial comes on TV, my daughter(4) screams out, "Mom, I want that!" I tell her, you have to tell Santa...so, she runs to the window, and speaks out to the birds, "Santa, could I have a Furry Bear, please!"
I melt in sheer reverence of the innocence...

Awe, you capture the innocence of a child well my friend. I always enjoy reading my students letters to Santa, but each year I am touched, disturbed, and overwhelmed with at least one letter in the stack. Last year I recall reading one little boy's letter that was very touching...he had previously asked Santa at a department store for a particular game system, in his letter he wrote he explained that Santa didn't have to buy him a game system that his mom was going to be able to get his game out of pawn before Christmas. As I silently read the letters tears stung my eyes. I knew that his mom who was a single parent of three boys was struggling but I didn't realize it was this bad, he explained to me later that his mom had pawned their game system to pay the electric bill. He was smiling when he replied that it was okay, she always got their games back. I quietly thanked the Lord for my blessings as I counted them one by one. We never know what others are facing and what is on the life on the other side of a child's innocent smile. Touching write my friend and a very realistic one as well...
