Mothers and fathers didn't have a clue, that later in life, the younger brothers would care for others so much that the elder one wished you to know a little of them with was unsaid.

The year started with plenty smoke,
not from lil’ Jersey Ed’s maryweed
but from the pocking eyes fireworks
that scared out too many pets so silly.

The year started with shelter pound’s
dogs and cats taken in by Ed PeeWee
to get peaceful nights by the fireplace,
a bowl full of food of tenderness with.

The year started with Jersey Ed making
the rounds around few friends in need,
sharing with them, little overflow he had
reserved, for a new day of joy like this.

The year started with Ed the Elder one
making around Europe a very short trip,
where he saw so many getting poorer
but a few getting themselves filthy rich.

The year started with plenty smoke,
making the eyes of brothers Ed to itch,
consuming flames that brought tears
from the burning fires they had within.
