The thirsty man sees a water pond in the middle of the desert, he knows that's not real, but he keeps going just in case it is.
One day someone will pass by and look at the sun bleached white bones and wonder what kind of desire moved that now forgotten man to pursue it to the very end.
I want that mirage with all my heart but,
walking towards her don’t get me near
although my eyes can see the beacon
of her hair, burning, making all so clear,
and yet, like all mirages so far away that
like a gossamer dream she will disappear.
Heart, a captive slave without the chains,
but pierced not by an arrow, by a spear,
that opened a wound that will no close up,
being inside the trembling flesh so deep,
and desperate eyes following those flames
getting away through so many bitter tears.
My darling, even if you are just an illusion
your sweet voice in all the breezes I can hear,
and like those lullabies which I never had
I feel inside me many joys and not a fear,
but I cannot forget for one single moment
that we are in the world of a cruel puppeteer.
I want that mirage to reach touching my hand
and that for the grace of the gods, those lips,
come and kiss me just once a furtive one, and
look into my eyes without twilight regrets,
not, from a fleeing instant, only a mirage, but
a red flame, singing with a moth a final duet.
Any lady who reads this will probably say yes! To describe it as romantic is to be speechless and inadequate, so I'll call this poem perfectly captivating!

Haunting...twilight regrets really hit me in the core. You sing beautifully of romance, a desire to pleasure someone. I was touched, in my heart. I know I'm touched in the head. Excellent write. Liz
A journey towards love is always worth the trip, even if we have to come across the occasional mirage...this is splendid writing, dear man.
peace and love, Carole~
Through life we have often followed images, illusions and false feelings that led us to an empty end with nothing but hurt at the end, nothing to look forward to and often we felt it was the end for us. A great write that I can read so much into Georg, thank you for sharing.

Oh my,how sweet your words are dear man..have a wonderful and safe day sweet man..Hugsss
Such sweet yearning and vivid images make this write a keeper. It is also true that a mirage can be a cruel thing but...they have also been know to keep a man going until help arrived. So who knows Georg each foot crawled is a foot closer to somthing.

In "A Touch of Your Presence" are words that would inspire, encourage and strengthen one's soul when faced with challenges and difficulties and to know the awesomeness of God's power.

I feel a response is needed to the poem,
A duet of song
breaths fire into your soul,
A moment when you realize
that life has taken a toll.
Now begin anew,
go to her without regrets,
and find that dormant love
that lingers in the darkest depths.
No longer do you need to be alone,
living in a lifeless abyss,
knowing that your love will bloom
with this lovely little miss.
No one says you are not allowed,
to become the lover that you dream,
just open up your heart
and go to your midsummer night's queen.
This is for you Georg, I am going to post this on my site !
Much peace, love, and light,
