Love, where the years are gone?

Perhaps the river waters will never see us together and perhaps them will. Perhaps the evening skies encrusted with stars wouldn't light our beach path and perhaps they will. Perahps the wind will not carry our most tender whispers chocked inside us for so long and perhaps it will...the only thing sure is that my heart will pull my soul in so strongly way that it would be impossible not to be reunite, holding hands walking into forever...

Poem Artwork

Tell me my love where all the years are gone,
one day we were so young, the next so very old,
we only had time just for a fast and furtive kiss,
then the wrinkles came upon us, autumn leaves.

We are old looking on our mirror we thought that
it was just our Autumn times, no Winters at all,
now our hair has became white above our ears
and our eyes are crying, blurred don’t see no more.

Your solitude told me in whispered painful words
of yearnings and of you waiting going for so long;
I know that the warmth of my arms you wish to feel,
with your head in my chest and to sleep at last to go.

My hand will touch your face through years broken
Into infinite seconds, universal tenderness unspoken,
to make all the watches to return back to the first day
and cold hearts to burst in flames, all alive no broken.

Getting every moment of each other apart, longer
like two of those stars in the sky traveling alone
and yet, they are been united by their special light
like their were gestating linked by a umbilical tone.

Tell me, love, why “our” time were just let to go?
why our paths were never allowed just to cross
so we could have that fast furtive and warmth kiss
before we fall dead like those Autumn leaves does?

A beautiful write, Georg, wistful dreaming of the days gone by, but the fire of love still burns in your heart.
I love the analogy of the leaves, well done.

Awwww, but within your heart, tucked safely away are all the yearnings of the young and young you shall always remain. Such tranquil beauty wrapped within these words....

Be always safe,

Georg, methinks we all can relate to this plaintiff cry for
more time to share the love we have which fades into oblivion
all too quickly, and the falling leaves a perfect metaphor!
Beautiful work!
