Impossible love, when it's time to let it go?
We aren't men, just blind little mice with one last hope of a chance...that at the bottom of the abyss will be Angels to take us before the jagged rocks does.
We clung desperately to the love that we never had, that we didn't expected, that came when our fingers had no more strength to pull us up, over the edge, and then we cry, not out of fear but of regret, of what it could had been, then...it's not so difficult to let go.
Hanging with the tip of your fingers
over an abysmal void waiting down,
incertitude, after being pushed over
the edge, hanging there like a clown
that will don’t get any helping hand
not even the most deserved applause.
You were but one of the blind mice
doomed in a seas of tears to drown,
but not before you giving the world
one of those heartily of last laughs,
circus spectators don’t want tragedy,
they wish to express mirth, not frown.
The finger are getting tired, letting go,
where are the angels in white gowns?
that should be coming to your rescue
after, being innocent, praying to God
to be spared for one more day, please,
say goodbye today you didn’t thought.
You didn’t want but your fingers did,
slip that feeble and sharp edge its hold,
as you fell fear doesn’t takes your heart
you know you are falling and not float,
but peacefully thinking of all blind mice
and all the angels waiting for you below.
I love this imagery; we are as it goes, ALL blind mice - and some of us, hopefully NOT the poets, lemmings. I my own life NOW i also feel at the edge of a cliff overlooking an abyss (the DeepAbyss) -seemingly to take a miracle to pull me off. And like you I pray to a sometimes recalcitrant God - but thankfully you remind me, that He always and only sends his emissaries to do the miracles needed.
Thanks for the inspiration: I won't give up...

I am not afraid of Poseidon, therefore, I must tell the commander of the ship, "Of blind mice & Angels" to check the color of the foam between the waves on the sea of this composition.
I like the poemization and imagery "Of blind mice & Angels".
this is perhaps the best poem i've read of yours ... conceptually it weaves together a fine tapestry of inspired soulfulness and reflective insight while its poetic mechanics i must say, is quite well oiled ...
I can relate. I have been very fortunate. I do not know where I would be today if angels had not helped me out time and time again. Thank you, Georg. Love and peace to you,
So much written within your words Georg as Felix said so many hold on until they have no choice but to let go praying that there is something better there. thank you for sharing.
This one hits hard and I can feel my own fingers getting wearier from trying to hang on...I guess perhaps that may be the true way to look at it...when our limit is reached there will be somthing better at the end of the fall...

Hanging by your fingertips between heaven and hell, as always, you reached very deep here my friend, a most beautiful song of our inner most soul.
You as most of us, ask the same old question and knowing half the answer only. I've been doing finger strengthening exercises myself, to try to hang in there, it's not the heights I fear, but the .......

Ha! They would be amputating that rock from my fingers!!! Picture Ted with his unreasonable fear of falling, and you will get the picture. Besides, angels are too busy playing harps UP THERE, so there is no help from them DOWN THERE, and my name will never be "Splat" :-)
Good morning, Georg. Love the poem but that FALLING has got to go!!!
From the Caribbean Sea to Machu Picchu in Peru, and from birds to flowers and butterflies, Reflections and Treasured Wonders offers a collection of images gathered from around the world.
In "A Touch of Your Presence" are words that would inspire, encourage and strengthen one's soul when faced with challenges and difficulties and to know the awesomeness of God's power.
These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
