I am presenting today a sculpture recently finished and a ku apropos.
ILLUSTRATION: a sculpture by the author done finished in September 2009 Hammer, chisel and stone-saw on granite stone mimicking the Golgotha stone's Roman’s execution yard. Hand made anchor of aluminum as well as the cross bar and spheres of iron. Jesus, made with steel-wire skeleton sculpted with plastic-compound and hand painted. The idea has been more than thirty five years buried in my head, the sketch of it with the year date lies somewhere buried in a pile of old manuscripts and sketches papers.
Wow! What a treat to see and read this, Georg...I have so many of these to tackle, and like the camel the load we sometimes carry is quite the excess...one at a time we just need to fulfill all those visions! Good for you! You truly amaze me with this offering!

All the finest ideas come into being eventually, Georg, and this is truly inspirational. As with Scripture, it can mean something different every time we come to it, or look at it. But the fundaments are brilliantly conveyed in your moving sculpture. Not only an artist with words, but with concepts that readily translate across all creative media. God loves word play and wit, I reckon. And all His ideas are multi-layered, like your work here. The Eye Of A Needle was/is the name of a gate in Jerusalem, I believe, so of course camels can pass through it! :)) xx
Dear Georg, Congratulations on the completion of your so long awaited sculpture, Bravo! In regards to the Ku Poem, yes, you can pass throug the needle's eye if you succeed to make yourself as thin as the needle's eye. Emile

Your sculpture speaks so clearly of the sacrifice of God for His people and then is amplified by your pristine Ku. Very moving and very talented you are Georg. Hugs, from one artist to another.
The bent cross bar represents the fallen nature of mankind. Anchor, so we don't drift but stay moored to our faith, and rock is Peter, whom Christ placed as the head of His Church on earth. Iron the strength of Christ's church that will withstand the onslaughts of the evil one until Christ's second coming. Masterpiece Georg. Most symbolic in my eyes.
Impressive indeed, you have captured the very essence of Christianity as presented by Jesus himself. As I interpret the figure represents the opression so prevalent in our world and the sacrifices made by Jesus, the anchor...a safe place of refuge and also a reminder that God does not have to be some magical figure all powerful and potent but an earth boudn entity we can all share, the granite...strength and solidity. I am not a Christian Georg but I do believe Christ was a good man who taught by example. Excellant sculpture and Ku...round of applause from all.
