Think, silence is not only the absence of sound but also an Universal entity by itself that occupies even the farther corners of eternity and imagine...if that Silence is there no more...

Poem Artwork

When silence went away nothing was left.
Straining ears trying to listen until we cried
for the absence of that peaceful nothingness,
we were the ones that killed all the lullabies.

Silence, though remarkably rare where I live, is welcome. For a while. Patrick

We take for granted how important silence is to all of us. Silence helps us clear our minds and rejuvenate our souls. I love to write in complete silence and would be devastated if my silence went away even for a brief moment. Very thought provoking poem Georg!

Silence is a sound you hear in the heart as its echo reverberates in the walls of your soul. Strong and deeply thought-provoking.

So strong and so powerful are these echoed words and feeling Georg!
Silence is emptiness to me with hollow corridors, a soul never to be heard!
But silence is golden now!

Silence. Kody and I live alone... Well, my lady friend lives directly next door so it isn't like we're really far away alone. However the problem is that I am now used to the silence and sometimes silence is really nice.

Dear Georg, Your poem's thought, reminds me when silence suddenly went away, it left a deep feeling and then activity takes its place. Meanwhile, human beings lose themselves. Love Emile

This is rich and deep in meaning, and so true...as a poet, singer and parent I can feel the sadness of that silence echoing down the empty halls.

Most thought-provoking, Georg. Sometimes, I find that silence (which is hard to find in this noise-filled world) says the most because one can listen to one's soul. Love and peace,

Regis

I once had an experience where I could not talk to anyone for about a week. There was no one and nothing to listen to. I could only listen to my inner-self. And what a weird feeling overtakes at that point. Indescribable. Deep. Like this poem.

Silence is often said to be golden. Sometimes to remain silent is the wrong thing to do. It kills nations!

Absolutely a mind thinking poem this morning..Thanks for the brain cells!
