Remember when you left
your tongue in San Diego
on the girl with the pink
parasol face
she shot you
with her silver
lipstick pistol
& you played dead
you did dog-dead
on the walk, you fell
in love
with her poodle sweater
& Chinese way of sipping
green tea on a hotel
balcony in front
of all those boys in stiff
white pants & polished
shoes who only wanted
for one night
This collection of poetry addresses the nature of time, reflections on the natural world, the difficulty of loss,
contemporary social issues and gratitude for life.
