This poem describes the price that we pay for our anger.
Hello, it's nice to see you
Do you remember me?
I caused you to lose a good friend,
You said some words like he'd never heard
And your friendship came to an end.
Or do you recall
Back at school in the hall
They said she was seeing another guy,
So you said "We're through"
Then found the rumor wasn't true
But you've already made her cry.
Oh, I had a ball
When you punched that wall
Because your wife said something upsetting,
I hope the pain in your hand
Made you feel like a man
But the hole in the wall you're regretting.
How about that time the dog made that whine
and you said to "shut up",
You got so mad
You only saw red
Kicked him and he never got up.
Countries have fallen
When I came calling
Because I drive people insane,
Yes, I take pride
With eating you up inside
And if you'll let me I'll do it again.
