flat-lining
just getting through
not really living
flat-lining
where’s the joy
where’s the passion
where’s the goddamn
excitement
how come I am overwhelmed
with the fucking sameness
squelching baby fires
day in day out
same ole same ole
bullshit
I w a n t to live
I want to have some friggin fun
I want to BE fun
I want to look at my kids and not see punks
lazy, cry baby, titty mama’s
what do I need to do to get some
heartbeat here
fly the coop
no
bad idea
probably just flat-line down the line
what do I want
bitchin and moanin and tossin and turnin’
how can I know how to fix what is really not broken
my life is good
as is
this I know
truly
flat-lining at this time
is a good thing
then why am I so bugged
why can’t I just accept
a nice quiet comfortable regular life
void of major drama
mundane
but safe
huh
what exactly is my problem
oh fuck it
flat-liner comatose no life crybaby
if the shoe fits
wear it

bitch session with a girlfriend brought this baby on, not all me in there but enough HA

Flat-lining Josie? Nunca lo he visto asi. It is a perfect description of life and saying no news is good news. It is the impetus for saying the grass is not greener on the other side of the fence. We all know it but somehow we seem to never be happy completely. As Peggy Lee once sang.."Is that all there is?" And you said it...fly the coop? no..bad idea...you would just flatline elsewhere down the line...and if it aint broke...what is there to fix? Maybe the way we look at things but it could also be a matter of rearranging bits and pieces of our lives...go out, time out for the things that matter and give you that excitement. You have to live with that and satisfy those ghosts at the same time by treating yourself to something special. Only you know what those treats are and one of them must be making time for yourself. Excellent work, mi hermana. Con mucho carino

this is an excellent write indeed, spoke from the gut, full of for the want of a better expression..."jasus get me out of here, but i'm not sure i want to go"...enjoyed this, take care...Mark...

The only thing I can say is I remember feeling this way at several points in my life. Your a vibrant personality that needs some intensity and excitement in your life, you shouldn't beat your self over it, but instead find an outlet.I did. There are good things to do that won't interfere with family.

As long as you're not mainlining, Josie. :) But we all need to do something different to break the routine. A little madness, a little adventure.
