why a poet
why not a novelist
even a columnist
it’s all in the attention span
I have a word count
problem
my mind works
in meter
I don’t have a clue
but this is what I do
why did you choose
modern
format
versus
traditional
I don’t know
it chose me
sometimes I look at a piece
and say
not bad for a pea brain
sometimes I look at a piece
and say
girlfriend you rock
sometimes I look at a piece
and say
this is pure shit
I don’t have a clue
from whence it comes
or from whence it goes
not my problem
I gotta enough to worry about
without
trying to figure
why I do what I do
I just do
where would you like to go with your poetry
go
go is not an option
I don’t plan to go anywhere
I don’t plan to do anything
it just happens
there is no great hidden reason
for any of it
no agenda
or timetable
it
is
simply
what my fingers put together
that day
sometimes an idea will knock around
maybe a day a night a year
maybe ten years
before I remember I had something
to say about that
maybe a second
there is no control
I just sit in the car and enjoy the ride
or
sit in the car and wonder where the air bags are
depends
on
today’s subject matter
do you have any regrets regarding
something you may have written in the past
ya probably would have to say
I don’t like resorting to foul language
sometimes
it seems
I need the strength in a piece
I’m working on that
most of your work is based on true incidents
is this a trend you will continue
who knows
I don’t
I just write
I do want to fiddle with fiction
shit your fiction
and I have am now
but I’m wondering if my imagination
is up to par
do you plan to do any more erotica
sure I do
I loved that
ratings went sky high
but
it’s not something I think I’m real
comfortable playing with right now
basically
I don’t consider myself a “poet”
hell I don’t even consider myself a “writer”
it’s just that sometimes
there is an issue
a moment in time
something that I just have to
stick to paper
that’s it
nothing fancy
rhyming scares me
I suck at syntax
the Words are what I love
I have an insatiable love for words
stringing them along
matching them up
this one sounds good with that one
geez I don’t even Get half the stuff I read out there
but I love it
I’m a huge lover
of the written word
that’s it
that’s all
it
all
comes down
to
the words
thanks ms wootten I wish you all the luck in the
world with your work
luck
what’s luck got to do with it
I’m just your average joe
punching the keyboard
day in
day out
es todo
no mas
calling it like I see it
today’s subject matter
just goofing

Josie, a great write and a wonderful interview. :-) I've noticed that truth sometimes is goofy. If it wasn't we'd all cry all the time.
Much enjoyed,

Great goofing! Though in your goof is a lot of truth.
An honest flow of words. But don't all of us have our own style. Maybe in my case it is no style. If you ask me what is your style, I would have to say no style at all. And that makes me so fortunate to have this freedom. Freedom like you have to explore and expolarate your verbs and adjectives nouns and pronounes for the public. Go on girl and get it. Bill
your style is unique to you...and you bless us with it. keep writin' girl, keep bein' honest, that's why i love you! YOU ROCK!! :) (((HUGS))) and love (and never let 'em see you sweat--big things are in store for you, i feel it), karla. :)

We are what we write. Yes, sometimes when my inspirations strike me, I can write two or three stories simultaneously at the same time.
