am so tired now
just want to sleep
just want to stay forever
asleep
no energy none
done
with the bravado
done
with the smiles
done
tired
dog tired
fingers cry for want of rest
heart cry
for want of understanding
I have a headache
a soulache
a heartache
and
sleep is all
I care about
sweet sleep
away from the endless cacophony
of my
mind
can’t a person get some SLEEP around here

That was wonderful. I know the feeling of not being able to sleep. Anywayz keep it up.
(((josie))) i can *definately* identify with this...i'm an insomniac, plus my aging bod gives me fits, especially at night...toss and turn, turn and toss. plus, i need a new mattress...arrrrrggggghhhhhhh. pure t-frustration!!!! this poem captures it well...and i love alex's haiku, too...both rate an 11 +++ (does that mean you get a 22 ++++++?? *grins*) (((HUGS))) and love, karla. :(
